Momentum is building for this year’s Rotary Coastal Walk 2026, with 57 walkers already signed up to support the MNDA Wirral Group – and numbers are continuing to rise.
The event is shaping up to be another powerful day of community spirit, bringing people together to raise awareness and vital funds for those living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
How to Get Involved
Taking part is simple. Supporters can register via the official Rotary Coastal Walk website, where they’ll receive all the information they need, including guidance on supporting someone with MND and tips to maximise their fundraising.

Fundraising That Makes a Difference
Once registered, participants are encouraged to set up a JustGiving page and link it to MNDA Wirral Walk 2026. Every pound raised goes directly towards supporting local families affected by MND, helping fund essential care, services, and advocacy.
There is no minimum fundraising target—every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful impact.

More Than Just a Walk
By taking part, walkers will be:
- Standing alongside people living with and affected by MND
- Strengthening a compassionate and supportive local community
- Helping fund vital services and care
- Meeting incredible people and being part of something truly meaningful
On the day, the MNDA Wirral team will be there cheering participants across the finish line, with a warm welcome and a thank-you goody bag waiting.
A Thank You to Every Participant
As a token of appreciation, every walker will receive a free MNDA Wirral t-shirt or running vest, featuring the new branding. These can be ordered via the t-shirt form after registering.
Participants who already have a previous MNDA shirt are encouraged to bring it along to be recycled, supporting a more sustainable event.
Building on Last Year’s Success
Last year’s Coastal Walk saw the highest number of participants ever, creating an unforgettable day filled with energy, generosity, and community spirit.
This year, the ambition is even greater.
With 57 walkers already signed up and more joining each day, the goal is to bring as many people together as possible—because every step brings us closer to a world free from MND.
